Good Morning L & L ~ Not too bad after a skipped shot last night. We got home at 10pm ( + 4 and he was 143) and I gave Bubba "a drop" of insulin knowing that it would be 8 hours later till his AM shot. Did it help to keep him under 200? IDK but psychologically it helped me; I hate having to skip a shot and mess up the depot and all progress.

OT: Pool party was fun, food fabulous, cool evening so we didn't swim.

Vines to all Beans and Kitties in need.

+3.5 He did a projectile vomit of liquid while sitting in the living room window. Most went through the screen. Yuck, DH took the screen down and cleaned it. +4=99. He's working the juice. Hate when they vomit like that when there is no hairball. Maybe one to come later......

Bubba said it was time to clean that screen so he can see out better if he cannot be out there.

(I would choose that over vomit down a vent!!)

Nice surfing Bubba!!!!! Bobbie nice to hear you got to get out and enjoy an evening at a pool party. How funny we always ask our kitties to surf safely and you get to the pool and it's too cool to swim:p:p
Have a great day!!!!!

So after Bubba's splat vomiting in the living room window, I found some more food vomit in the bedroom window and not sure if it was from earlier and was a one time episode or ongoing.

Question: The AM cycle of the 19th, I gave him beef, first time in about a month. He vomited it up within 10 minutes. That PM cycle, he was dropping quickly so I gave him 1/4 can of FF (Salmon) and a few hours later another 1/4 can of FF. That was the first canned food in about 6 months. He enjoyed it didn't have any GI issues until today.

Is it possible that between the beef and the canned food two days ago, it is just effecting his GI system?

It's hard to say ... Bubba is being a cat after all. I would not give beef again. If Bubba hasn't eaten fish in a long time, it could be his tummy got icky after digesting it for a while. I know sometimes if my cats eat something that didn't go down right, it could come up hours or maybe a day later.

Thanks Mandy, I think I am going to put some SEB in his dinner tonight and see if that helps. I have a funny feeling that the beef and the seafood all in one day (2 days ago) was just too much for his system.

On the other Gizmo's thread I was telling her about my Gizmo's poo (diarrhea) when I switched him to Fowl Ball. It was two days after I started when the diarrhea happened. I think mixing slowly (% wise) will help.

At my house, Foul Ball is called Foul Box.
I didn't even get two days. Got about 12-18 hours. Poo on his shoes, back leg, toes, his parts, his behind was squeaky clean 'cuz he sat and went scootie on the carpet.

Foul Box has never been fed again at my house.

I'm assuming you all can presume the box was funky too.

Maybe some tummy issues are what raised Bubba's numbers in the first place? Or he picked up a bug at the vet, or tender tummy to foods he's not used to eating?

Hope he feels well soon.

PMPS 117. Got him to eat about 1.05 ounce of his 1.5 raw turkey ( yes, Momma weighed the remaining portion ) I put some SEB in it so hope it will settle his tummy and he keeps this down. Always upsetting when they vomit projectile like. He was tentative eating but he has been like that lately. I think he is detecting the supplements I put in his food and I am having to crush a few pieces of YA dry and place on top of his food to get him to eat. And I usually have to repeat in multiple times in the course of a meal. Maybe going back to 6 little meals a day instead of 4 ( I just switched to 4 meals right before the dental appointment on 8.10) will help and not be too much at once. At least for a few days. Sigh.

I hope it was just that food change that didn't agree with Bubba.
I gave Uncle venison ONCE and he threw up everything. He's mostly been a turkey, duck & chicken guy with a little rabbit thrown in there from time to time.
Hope he feels better soon :bighug:
