Well, I wasn't expecting this AMBG ! I gave him .50 units last night after getting a 304 PMBG. At +6 last night he was 98. That's a big drop so I was expecting a big bounce this morning. Since I have to be away at a temp job most of the day, I decided to just give him a drop. I will check him at +2. My SIL will be here with my mom. She can't test but she can keep an eye on him and offer more food if she thinks he is acting funny.

Fingers and Toes crossed that he just needed a reminder of what normal numbers feel like.

Last year when Bubba was working on OTJ he tended to be a bit higher at +2 but then came down nicely through the cycle. I know how frustrated you are, but just hang in there.

Well the drop stayed with him today and kept him safe. +9=104. Seeing how .50 units dropped him from 304 to 78 in one cycle and a drop today kept him in low blues, I am almost afraid to give another .50 unit tonight. Toying with .25. for PM. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

I see no harm in doing .25 tonight. For any lurkers, Bubba has been back and forth from remission several times and Bobbie is VERY familiar with his patterns and how insulin affects him. Do NOT copy this dosing!

I think the threat of losing his outside privileges straightened him right out!
