Good morning!
I decided to forgo my late night alarms and let Beenie do her thing. Well I slept like a rock and woke up to Beenie back in the water!! She seems to clear bounces quick so that's nice :)

I'm glad I slept too, I needed it. Felt so guilty turning the alarms off but I was comfortable knowing she wasn't going to drop too low. At this point I just want to catch those greens so I know how to proceed with dosing. Of course the greens have only come in the wee hours of the morning :banghead:

Nice start for the day!!! A short and small bounce and back to business.

As much as I love Levemir, sometimes the late nadirs can be a PITA. Beenie seems to be showing a somewhat regular pattern with the Levemir...onset around +4 and nadir around +9, with a slow rise until next preshot. I find in the AM I will try to go BTB or take a nap in the first 4 hours and/or same with the PM shot.

I think I'll be ok if I set an alarm just to catch her at +9. Luckily I fall back asleep pretty easy...unless she gives me a green than I can't help but see where she goes. Once greens become a regular occurrence I'll be more used to seeing them. :D

You're in a different territory from Prozinc with the Levemir, but what a nice territory it is. Later testing might be useful to try to catch the nadir time, but you are already doing lots of testing.

Come on Beenie...keep up the good work. :cat:

Beenie sure is having nice cycles. Like Mary Ann, I got accustomed to taking naps after Preshot especially a night. If Beenie continues good predictability you'll know when alarms are needed.

I think she's been pretty predicable so far even on ProZinc, so that is very helpful in the bean catching her Zzzzzz's ;)

When are you having the acro and IAA tests done by MSU? I was trying to find the latest on it, but must have missed it somehow.

Nice that Beenie showed you she can take care of business overnight... by herself. :D
Hoping you get the chance to get used to greens very soon. :)
Yes. Its taking everything I have not to grab a +4 but I have to give her a break. I'm going to catch the +7 and +9 today. Beenie is getting a little bothered with all the pokes so I'm trying to back off a little. She's so cute though, AMPS she comes right to her spot lays down and purr's. Of course what follows is some FF naturals chicken so is she purring for me or the chicken

We have blood work appt for this coming Monday (8/21). Vet will next day air for Tuesday arrival. Wednesday is test day at MSU for the Acro/IAA so we should know by next Friday. I'll take a pic of the MSU mailer since a few had asked what it was exactly. I saw it Tuesday when I brought my civvie in for constipation.

With Beenie's response to Levemir I would be more inclined to do a +4 or +5 rather than the +2.

My one kitty was so good about his pokey testing that all I had to do was ask if he wanted a pokey test and he would walk over to the test mat. Sometimes he would walk over and sit on the mat and look at me and ask for a test...even if it wasn't time. He was very food motivated and test time always meant a snack.

Thanks!! That is great that you everything timed to coincide with the test days. It will be so good to get the actual report so that you know what you are dealing with. :bighug::bighug:

I grabbed the +2 because I didn't know what she was doing overnight. I'm going to grab that +4 now...you convinced me;)

Don't tell Beenie that I "made" you do another test
Easy peasy! She was sleeping and didn't care at all !! Their 9am feeding was delayed today so she ate 20 minutes ago. Full belly, resting peacefully. Slight rise but not unusual.

Still looking good. I found that unless I had a low preshot I didn't get much action until around +5 with Levemir. Of course once I get comfortable with that my kitty will change the "rules". My other kitty would always let me know when he was low by DEMANDING food, but his sister doesn't do that.

Fingers crossed for a good cycle today!!

Good to see you got sleep last night. Every once in a while you just need to catch up. I got great at small naps after AMPS. +9 testing at night was easy cause 8 months of the year I'm up every other day for exercise at +9 so I'd do a quick poke before heading out the door. Crossing my fingers she wasn't low of course.

Nice +7.

Check out +9 and +10:D:D

Looking good, Beenie! :D:D:D

Michelle, I'm sorry I missed the tag yesterday on the other thread. Just saw it this morning, but it sounds like it was all resolved easily anyway.

You shot on a 100 this morning! Have you heard about the BOS award? That was pretty close to earning you one!

Oh no worries. Just got a little nervous about her hiding but Wendy said Neko did the same thing when he got to greens. I only had to set the alarm once last night which was nice. No official BOS award yet...has to be green:D
