+2 = 374
+4 = 317

AMPS = 347
+2 = 298

Looking promising for today.

Well, I'm bummed for you that it didn't go as well as we all had hoped for you and Gizmo, but if it is any consolation, I read your post when I was at work, and actually snorted since I laughed at your "I'm crazy" then went on to see the Dr. Phil comment :D. The vet was a moron, I think we all agree on that.
. I'm glad I was able to provide some laughter to your work day. :p I will be the one laughing when Gizmo finally shows the flat cycle (that isn't possible;)). We will get there some day without the help of that vet!
I quickly glanced at the blood tests, I know more experienced people will give you feedback soon, but just my thoughts from when I dealt with CRF (a long time ago), it seemed like Gizmo's BUN was only just a bit over normal (37 on a range of 16-36), while creatinine was normal. If I recall from what I remember, both BUN and creatine would be elevated, and they aren't. Those are key indicators in kidney disease. Gizmo's BUN could be elevated if Gizmo was a bit dehydrated? Phosphorus and calcium were within normal, though I see they didn't run potassium?

It's been a while since I've considered blood tests around CRF, but hope it helps a bit until you get more feedback :cat:
. Thank you for sharing your knowledge about kidney disease. I don't understand anything when looking at the lab results. I wouldn't think Gizmo would be dehydrated, but I could be wrong. He drinks a lot still. I did read that the freeze dried treats could cause constipation and dehydration because they take water from the animal. (?). I didn't really worry because I would assume they would need to eat a ton of freeze dried treats to cause that.

always nice to see a drop at +2
Yes it is. Even nice to see the continued drop at +4 (191). Feeding seemed to work last time in terms of he doesn't seem to be bouncing as long. So I feed a bit of LC just now. Fingers crossed we can get some greens today and not bounce sky high by tonight. :D (Antijinx)
I'll pass long a saying that was passed to Doodles and I. "Be a Tank, tanks always get where they want to go". Meaning...keep on going. Work the juice Gizmo.
I like it! I'm a fairly quiet person, but I feel the tank rising.:joyful: Gizmo needs me:cat:
Work that juice Gizmo! :cat:
he seems to be working da juice! Hip, hip, hooray!:cool:

Tiki is $$.
I am thinking about trying the tiki cat without fish (phosphorus levels of 154 & 149)

Is Gizmo picky? Tiki and Weruva are shreds vs. Paté. When I switched Gizmo I started mixing. I mixed the FF with the new food and slowly adjusted the % of FF down. He still prefers paté and that is why I still mix - lol.

Soulisic and Organix are other options. Both have paté options

Welcome to the food nightmare that is my life. :banghead: :p

Gizmo isn't picky, but my civvie is. I don't know if they will eat shreds or not. Ill try it. If not then I guess I will have to keep looking. I know tiki is expensive, but I kinda felt they all were. Maybe I need to look closer into soulistic and organix. I haven't researched much about where to buy and price yet.

Petco has Soulistic & I think they have Organix too.

Figure out the price per oz. It makes it easier to compare.

A 24 case of Fowl Ball (6oz cans) is $40.80 from Chewy. An 8ea case TikiCat Puka Puka Luau (6oz cans) is $19.37, Organix Chicken (24-5.5oz cans) is $33.61

FB=0.28/oz
Puka=0.40/oz
Organix=0.25/oz

Of course calories and protein factor in too. Another reason I mix.

I usually do that, up for some reason didn't even think of it in this case. I think I saw the low phosphorus value in tiki and just zoned in on he needs that. :confused: That's why I love getting advice from others. Definately need to make a trip to petco this weekend. I spend to much money every time I step foot inside that store. :p At least I have managed not to bring home any new animals yet. ;) My family used to call my house the zoo! :joyful:

;)

I ran up to one on my lunch last Friday and there was the most precious little calico kitten there. Just the sweetest little face. :banghead:

We never got another one because we were afraid pre-FD, pre-pancreatitis, 17# Gizmo would kill a kitten. He didn't play well with other animals. We also didn't want to change his personality.
