Gave him another tbsp of HC food - supposed to be gravy food but there definitely is no gravy in that can :mad: - with a good-sized dollop of Karo. I'll check him again in a bit.

I tried to explain to Gizmo's second opinion vet (won't be going back) that he doesn't mind me testing him. He said he couldn't understand how I was getting so many tests a day and was shocked Gizmo let me. I responded if I don't test on time, Gizmo will actually ask to be tested. I don't think he believed me, but it's true. The power of treats. Lol

Absolutely! Squallie will come to me and "ask" to be tested when he was only tested a little while ago. I feel bad disappointing the little guy, lol. He'll do anything for those "special" treats!
 
Been stalling for almost an hour, Squall's PMPS is only 66. He dropped below 50 today, had a little trouble getting him back up, so I'm afraid to give him a full dose tonight. He's also being picky about his dinner. Should I give him a miss tonight, or shoot anyway? I really am fearful that he'll drop very low.

Squallie has been doing fine with the skipped shots you've had recently. If you need a break after today, and are worried about him going low tonight and not coming back up, I'd skip. You gave HC and karo and he didn't come up that much. Since he's being picky about eating, I'd skip.

Thanks, Carla, that was my thinking, too, but I feel a whole lot more secure in it knowing someone with more experience agrees! Whew, that's really a relief!:bighug::bighug::bighug:
 
Now that all's said and done, he will probably go higher tonight because I gave him some 6% carb food for dinner, in case I did go ahead with the shot. But I still feel a lot safer not shooting tonight.

ETA: That is, if he even eats it!
 
Just my personal opinion, I'd skip. I am so hesitant to give advice since I don't know what I'm doing, but for myself and Callie, I'd skip.
