Hey, gang!!! So, a bit of a fluctuation with his bg. Check it out, please.

Also, still no good poopy. Just 1 inch long dark stuff. I ordered Natural Moves. It will be in by the 11th. I had to get it online because i got sick of looking for it in stores. But, i had seen on the fb page that some suggested Mirolax. So today i bought some & put a half of teaspoon in his dinner. Everything was fine until 30 minutes later. He Projectiled his dinner all over tne living room. Ugh. And then, kept howling. He never does this. And then gagged again. Took him to his room, and let him rest a lil. After i ate, hubby & i took some kitty nip to him. He had a couple turds in his box, still same as before. He seems better now. No puking, no howling, etc.

So, is mirolax good for him. Cause im freaking out, and feel like i shouldn't give him anymore.

Suggestions.

Found this: http://www.catcare.com/blog/laxative-can-aid-with-regularity-in-cats/

It says, "Miralax has been studied in cats and found to be superior to just about any other stool softener available. We used to use a sticky syrup called lactulose with our patients but have converted almost all cats to Miralax. Miralax (or a generic polyethylene glycol equivalent) is easily mixed into canned food and very rarely refused by cats. It can be mixed with water and given orally as a suspension, but this is messier. Dosing Miralax is not an exact science – the goal is to increase or decrease the dose in order to achieve a soft but formed stool at least every other day. Most cats need about ¼ teaspoon daily, but some need ½ teaspoon or more twice daily."

The usual starting dose for Miralax is 1/8 to 1/4 tsp. It is tasteless. Some people just mix the powder in with the food but some cats can detect the granules and will balk.

It's possible that the reason he vomited was due to the constipation, not the miralax

It's a common problem

I wouldn't be afraid to try it again....if he throws up again, then we may have to consider that he's reacting to the miralax.

So, what bout his SS. Hes been in the 200s mostly, then spiked yesterday before his shot to 409. Today hes been in the 100s.

I am sorry if this is a stupid thing to say/ask, but I was just wondering if maybe he had just attempted to poop? Would straining/pain from trying to go impact BG? (Like I said, sorry if that is stupid. :))

Not stupid. Im not there when poopies. But i wondered before if because he hasnt been "regular" if that's keeping his bg weird. Usually he is "healthy".
