I think you could have safely given the 1U tonight as long as you were able to test

Generally, once you have enough data on your spreadsheet, we'll suggest shooting anything over 150.....and if you post for help, someone will try to stay with you throughout the first few times you shoot a lower number than you're used to.

It's all good data though.....shooting the reduced dose will help show you how she responds when you give a reduced dose

Going forward, it's important that you start getting at least a "before bed" test on the PM cycle.....most cats go lower at night, so it's important to make sure they're safe while we're snoozing! You're also missing half the data you could use to see how she's doing

Hey thank you so much I'm having a lot of difficulty trying to link these post together and not want to feel stupid because I got to post going and I'm trying to figure this out but more concerned about Govie. And you know I thought that too about giving them one unit tonight however I decided not to after reading some of the other posts similar to mine and because I'm a little inexperienced with this new protocol here and I figured it's better safe than sorry

Here's yesterday's post

You want to put the link to the prior post in so it's easy for people to go back and see what's been going on. To do that, just open the prior day's thread and copy the address in the address bar. Paste it into the body of your new post...it doesn't have to be anything fancy like "Yesterday's post"

You will get used to it, one day at a time.

I get up automatically first thing I do after checking Marvin is create my daily post (well almost all the time), even if everything is all good I post as I know people get worried, especially when we are new....lol

I remember when I first joined, I was so lost, there was a few days I didn't post, when I came back on noticed, few people looking to see how Marvin was and if we both were ok. I felt good to see that, as I had felt so alone, and frankly most of people I know didn't understand...

I don't know what URL to copy I mean I know this sounds stupid but I'm usually pretty good with stuff like this. Like all you guys just have like Gobi spreadsheet underneath and mine has the whole thing with Google Docs and Doug you know and everything else I don't know how to get that off of there I don't want to touch it for fear I'll lose it I'll figure it out somehow I went to yesterday's post like you told me but I don't know what URL to copy

the url you need to copy is in the address bar of your browser, you go to the post you need to copy the url, highlight it, right click, select copy, then go to create you new post, and paste it in the new post. I took an image of you post yesterday and circled the url you need to copy

If you want to make it "fancy", have your spreadsheet open in one tab (you don't have to worry about losing it...it will always be in your Google Drive) and then open your signature again and type in the words "Govie's spreadsheet"

Go back and "highlight" those words (Govie's spreadsheet) just like you were going to copy/paste them. Once they're highlighted, click on the little icon along the top that looks like a single link (or a paperclip) and a new box will pop up. Go to your spreadsheet and copy the link from the address bar and "paste" it into that new little box and click "Insert"

Click "save" and you're done!!

Okay I get it what it is is y'all are doing it on a computer and I'm working on my Android phone which is not impossible LOL. Now when I copy the URL from a prior post it says to put it in the body of my next post is that start a new thread and put it as if it was a message or put it in the in the header or the prefix you know one of those it said put it in the body to meet a body is the message so I'm still figuring it out

When you start a new thread, there's the "Thread Title" (which is the Subject line) where you put the date, cats name, AMPS ## and as you get other tests later in the cycle, you can "edit" it and add those numbers so it's easy for people scanning the board to see how each cat is doing and respond to any they see problems with.

The main part of the post is the "body" of the post....where you tell us how he's feeling, ask any questions, give the Whole Cat Report, etc.....that's where you put the link to the prior days post

And yeah...it's definitely more difficult with a phone/tablet than if you're using a computer!

Chris, thanks for ur time in helping me. I'm not sure if it was you or someone else forgive me said I could have been okay given the one unit tonight. Well I just did a plus too and it was 272 so that was probably right because I only gave a quarter unit tonight

Yeah it was me.....and don't stress out over it.....it's helpful to know what happens when you give a reduced dose too....it all goes into making a decision the "next time" (and there's always a "next time"!!)

If you are doing it from you phone is alot harder. I had to do that once and I gave up. Ended up fixing the link when I got back to my pc....

I was another person who had the same question as you and shoot 3 quarters of unit. At +3.5 bg was 45. In this case I think you decision was better, because It is better be safe than sorry
