Just wanted to pop in and share some good news. Davis is finally starting to show some improvement in his clinical symptoms! Less drinking water, less peeing, less diarrhea, less neuropathy (thank you Zobaline after 3 months!), more energy, healthier coat, brighter eyes , more playful and he's had weight gain of 1.5 pounds!!! My little guy is finally starting to turn a corner.
Just 3 weeks ago we were talking with our vet about assessing his quality of life because he seemed to be suffering so much. He just slept all day, moped around and was not himself. He quit using the litter box for a while and just seemed so miserable. He had zero improvement in his symptoms and seemed to be getting worse as time went on and then all of the sudden, he did a 180!
I've been out of town almost 8 weeks this summer so my precious cat sitter gets a lot of the credit for being so diligent in making sure his shots are perfectly timed. Without her, Davis probably wouldn't be with me right now.
Anyways, I know we still have a long road ahead but it's great to have moments of encouragement along the way. Thanks for all the support as I've tried to wrap my head around how to help a diabetic kitty. I still have a lot to learn but I'm grateful for the help I've received here. Without you guys, I'd be utterly lost!
