Good Morning from Camp Stu,

We are here after a good trip with our purrfect traveler. Rusty is happy to be at camp. He got deliberately short shots yesterday (I'm not sorry I decided to go with the Monojects because they have good lines, but it is so hard to deal with the "cone" when the dose is so tiny. Most of the time I have to eyeball it even when using calipers.). Today he got a short shot because insulin was left in the syringe. We'll see what happens.

It's a beautiful morning-- dense fog is lifting and the birds are flitting through the tree branches. Rusty and Edward are taking a nap. In a few minutes the beans will go for a walk on the road. Then we'll go down to the cove in our canoes. This afternoon we must go grocery shopping-- a trip of 25 miles to the nearest market. Friends are visiting tomorrow for a paddle and lunch. Hope the good weather continues!

Yo Kitties, here I am at camp. Come visit me. Today we can paddle, swim, fish, and just hang on the dock. I've got hot dogs for grilling. See you soon.

Nicholas and William are in the middle of enjoying their summer vacation, complete with lots of adventures. It is hard to believe that it is August already. Summer is flying by.... :eek: We are off next week to Hawaii for my youngest son's wedding. :):):) WOW, a grand adventure indeed, first time on a plane for Nicholas and William. :cool:

Enjoy your week. And Rusty, surf well!

Hi Michelle, your summer sounds really great, if busy (what else is new?). How neat that your son's wedding will be in Hawaii. Which son? And how neat that Nicholas and William will get to go to the wedding--on a plane! -- to an exotic place!! Have a wonderful time and congrats to your son. Will you have time to do some exploring while in Hawaii?

We read that global warming is really impacting the PNW this summer. It must be unbearably hot for you, since you are not used to weather that normally appears east of the mountains. Been on any big hikes in that heat?
Terrific news that DH is doing well.

Enjoy the rest of the summer,

Hugs to you, DH, the boys, and the rest of the family; scritches to the kitties (so great that they love their catio)

P.s. Please tell Vanessa that the coffee is fantastically good.

Morning Ella! :coffee::coffee::coffee:

oh yes.... it is HOT for us, :rolleyes::) We are in the upper 80's, low 90's, (99 predicted for today) with smoke impact too from wildfires up north in Bellingham, and BC. crazy weather! It has impacted what we do, the boys and I. We've been to the pool alot, and the beaches. Cool rules there. ;) They say we should cool a little in a day or too. Hmmmm... next week is still predicted to be in the 80's. Well, at least that isn't 90's! The rivers we go too are at 100, so that is a no go for a while. Just to hot to have kids out in. and no on the hikes. I have been out some , but only on ones where there is shade. Mt Rainier last weekend, and that was OK, only mid 70's there. :cool:

Yupp, Hawaii for my youngest son, Matt's wedding. We've never been, so an adventure for us! Matt has been a few times, his fiance Sydney loves the place, therefore it was a great wedding location choice. We hope so on the exploring, but it will be minimal, as our stay is only 5 days, and the wedding takes up a third of the time. My middle son Antony has to be back for work, and we are traveling with him so need to be back too. It should be a blast. we have rented a house on the beach, with a pool too. Both Nicholas and William are very exited.

Take care, I hope all is well with you. Keep those good BG's coming Rusty!

Auntie Ella! I am so happy you like my :coffee::coffee::coffee: More Ethiopian coming your way! ~~ Vanessa, kitteh barista
