So, Mufasa is not regular. And I tried the pumpkin (didn't work, and he threw it up on my light beige carpet!!!) and he is on The Missing Link Supplements that is mixed into his food that has all the nutrients he needs including fiber for good digestion. Like a good mama, I know when what it looks like when he is "regular", and mini tootsies every 4 days, are not it.

Suggestions?

P.S. Thanks to Carol, I now have U-40 needles. So now I feel better with giving him his doses. Moved up to 1.5 yesterday morning. His BG clocked in at 358 at 5:15am, gave him his shot and then his food. Then at dinner time, his BG clocked in at 402. I was like, UM? So I gave him his shot, his antibiotics, and then fed him. I decided I was going to check him a couple times before bed. 2 hours after it was at 358, 4 hours after his shot it was at 327. Then this morning it was at 309. I guess we see how this afternoon goes when I get home.

Some people on here have success with something called "Natural Moves" that can be bought online. @Beth 73 has used it for Elmo.

FYI - the best sequence is test, then feed, then shoot. This way you know you have a kitty who'll eat before you give insulin. Insulin plus no food can contribute to overly low BG. You can also give his shot while he's eating. The goal is to have food on board before the insulin kicks in.

Ok, i was under the impression i was suppose to give insulin before he eats. He'll eat either way, this kid is ALWAYS hungry and we steal the food out of your mouth if you dont protect yourself. Lol especially when he gets either a glimpse or whiff of anything dairy, cheese, ice cream, milk, and marshmallows. DO NOT EAT MARSHMALLOWS IN FRONT OF HIM. Don't know what it is.

Anyways, ill give him food and shoot him up.

And just for the record we give him none of that food.

What is it with FD kitties and carbs? Marshmallows for your boy and Teasel would kill for a potato chip!
