? Update on Noah and Free Insulin + Question about Frequency of Testing for OTJ kitties

Hi everyone,

We've been MIA pretty much since Noah had his OTJ party. We sort of needed a FD break. Noah continues to do very well and I'm thrilled! I'm starting my vacation on Friday and I'm looking forward to sleeping in.

I still have some leftover insulin to give for free. I'm in Ottawa (Canada) and if anyone is interested please send me a message.

First day not testing Noah's BG! I'm a testaholic and not testing often is hard.

How often do people with OTJ kitties test? I did once a day for the past two weeks and was thinking once every two days for the next two. He sure is enjoying his first day without any poking!
 
A lot of people test once a week for a while and then go to monthly testing. When Furball was OTJ, I tested weekly so I could catch anything earlier. I think monthly is too long in between tests. Basically it is whatever you are comfortable with.

I test 2 or 3 times a month. If she throws a higher then I like number I'll test again the next day. I wanna catch anything happening early to try to keep her in remission.

when she first went into remission I tested more often... maybe twice a week.
