Jimmy's preshot # was 85 (half hour ago). I'm holding off with insulin because he's clearing a bounce and not sure how much lower he'll go. Just fed him some raw with a tsp of LC mixed in...I know I should hold off entirely, but that just can't happen at feeding time. Testing in a few...

I don't have that much experience but with 85 after an hour and even though he did had a little food maybe I would skip it altogether or if it's OK and your schedule can be moved for more than one hour maybe wait to see if he starts going up

I think he'll be fine. Look how well he did when you shot that 76! :D Shoot low to stay low!
Agree - it's such a short window before they start to zoom up - I want to be able to keep him under 100 for longer periods. I know what to do - and I've read the protocol over and over - but when the time comes, I start second guessing myself. Could be another late night iced coffee night binge watching Grey's Anatomy on Netflix. lol

Nice blue night.:cool:I'm glad you shot full dose. Next time it happens, and you know Jimmy will do it, try your hardest to wait 15 minutes without feeding. Maybe just do with a freeze dried treat.

To show that you stalled on your spreadsheet, you can put 91 @12.75 in the PMPS cell. In the +11 cell, you can put 104; 85@+12, 85@+12.5.

I'm ok shooting the lower numbers except when he's still diving. That freaks me out - not knowing how much lower he will go. But I keep reminding myself I have the supplies to monitor and test to keep him safe. He's a tough kitty and tends to let me know when he does go "low"...ie asks for food. Good idea with the freeze dried treats...he loves the whole minnows.
