It has been a loooong night, juggling BG monitoring/managing with overnight work. :coffee::coffee::coffee: There's more work tonight, so I'm planning to sleep from +8 to PMPS. When Chino was on 12.5 units, there was a stretch where he had green nadirs for 4 days in a row. I'm wondering if I should take him up another 0.25 units (we're at 12.25 right now) to see if he does better with a bit more.

Hi. I wouldn't increase after what happened last night.

This is my reasoning: He always breaks bounces with that kind of momentum, even way back before we reached an effective dose. The problem is that he almost always bounces from green (and sometimes blue), so he always comes crashing back down a few cycles later. When he was seeing green more frequently on 12.5 units, the bounces weren't as high and didn't last as long. My hope is that if he can get used to being in the normal range, his cycles will be flatter and he won't come down so quickly because he won't have as far to go to get to green/blue.

Let's hope others chip in. But it does seem like there have been a few other cycles on 12.25u where you had greens. I couldn't find a pattern with the bounces and breaking bounces ..

I was NOT expecting a blue PMPS at the end of the first cycle of a bounce! Very unusual for him. Maybe he's responding to the threat of an increase. In retrospect, I probably should've retested, but if it's actually 167 then I'm happy!

I don't know if he's actually coming down from the bounce or if he's going to have a flat blue cycle, then flat yellow/pink (a more recent pattern) but I haven't changed his dose.

Looks like it was just a slow start to a bounce. 358 at +2. If it's the same or higher at +4, I'll give R with his next meal.

I can sympathize with how tiring all that bouncing is. Ugh! Down Chino!

Good plan to hold the dose - it can get him into the 70's which doesn't leave much room for an increase.
