Ok, Mufasa is usually "regular". His last dookie was Friday night. His supplements came in Saturday & he had it mixed with his dinner. Hes been on it for over a day now. Usually, if he has not poppied for over a day, I mix pumpkin in his food. It fixes the issue. But now im on a sugar ban & there's a lot of sugar in pumpkin.

So, thoughts????

Actually if it's plain canned pumkin it's fine to give a diabetic cat! :)

ECID and some cats may be more carb sensitive than others. Just be sure it's plain puréed pumpkin.

I didn't notice a significant bg difference with my diabetic when adding plain pumpkin. It's a complex carb with a low glycemic load (if I'm remembering correctly the difference between glycemic index and glycemic load). Plain Baby food butternut squash is another possibility but it gets kinda expensive on a daily basis!
Or you could steam and then purée plain or frozen pumpkin. I've done that and frozen the excess in ice cube trays and then freezer bags to use as needed.

You could start by adding 1/2-1 tsp per meal and see if it helps. Good luck!

Well, looking at the ingredients, it says "pumpkin". Nothing else. So I gave him about 2 teaspoons, of just the pumpkin. We'll see if things get moving. Lol
