? POST DKA Millie coming home today. What to ask dr./prepare at home?

Millie will be coming home today after another episode of DKA. She has been on potassium supplementation and antibiotics.She had a little fever which they think was caused by her injection site (forgot the name). Last night she was put back on Lantus 2U. Her BGs were high throughout the night so they increased it to 2.5 this morning. They have been feeding her whatever she wants to eat. I will do the same 'til she gains some weight and recovers. They did not find any secondary infection or issues based on all her diagnostics.

I was wondering if there is anything in particular that I should ask the doctor when I go to the animal hospital this evening?
 
Glad to see you here, and that Millie is coming home :big hug: I don't have experience with DKA. I would want to know if they have it the times and dosage they gave to Millie so that you can add to your SS. Hopefully someone with DKA experience can make suggestions on what to ask before you pick her up today.

Thank you. Adding her information from her stay to the SS is a good idea, hopefully they will give me all of it.
