7/11 Mayton +6 is 50

Mayton is pretty low tonight. His PMPS was only 103, and now his +4 is 93. I know I should check his number again soonish, do you guys suggest a +5 or +6? I also just fed him, but I always feed him a +4 so that is as usual.
 
I can't stay up with you, but he is having nice cycle so far! I always aim for a +6, but since he is new to greens (recently), maybe grab both if you can. I'd hate to say, yeah, definitely wait the 2 hours and have him do something weird (ECID truly does rein). And giving a LC snack is good for now too, especially if that's the norm. :)

Maybe one of the veterans will swing in soon and weigh in.

Do you have some higher carb food? (Justttttt in case *anti jinx*)

okay I will get that +5, and go from there. I don't have any high carb food, just a bunch of fancy feast classics. We do have syrup if needed.

Well, hopefully you won't need it :) *more anti jinxes* (i am paranoid).

That small drop from PMPS and +4 is very good, so just hand tight =) there's a few west coasters hanging around sometimes so you should be in good hands :bighug:

Good job shooting that 103. Mayton's numbers are looking a bit better lately. We like to say "shoot low to stay low" because often when you shoot a lower number, the cat will just surf. It looks like that is what Mayton is doing, so giving him his normal snack was good. I agree that you should test at +5 and see what he's doing, then go from there. I'm going to be sitting down to dinner soon, but I will try to check back and see how it's going.

Well he dropped a bit and now is at 64 for the +5. I gave him a little more food. Will for sure be testing at +6, unless people say I should check sooner.
 
Okay Mayton's +6 is 50. I remember hearing that if they go below 50, its too low so should I be giving him some syrup at this point? I will go give him a little more food right now.
 
The old dry food might send him up quick. Dry takes longer to hit their system too. But 48 and 50 are essentially the same so hopefully he will surf til that gets in his system. +7 is a good plan.
You can add a drop of syrup to his regular food to "make" a medium carb food. I've seen other members do this because their cats don't handle gravy type food very well.
 
Yes mayton went up, his +7 was 73, and the automatic feeders are set to go off soon like they normally do. I am going to bed now because it is 1:30am and Mayton has had enough poking for one night! I think he will be good for the rest of the night.

Okay we will start him on 1.25. He was given 1.5 this morning though, since I wasn't the one to do him. But thats alright since he was high. I was told that Mayton was near the 500s this morning so super bouncing!
 
Congrats on the reducie. I do have a couple questions. Are you still doing SLGS? If so, you should take a reduction every time Mayton goes under 90. I see quite a few occasions where he went under 90 and you didn't take a reducie. I haven't been following along so I don't know if you were given different advice because I know ECID. I'm curious... :)

Yes we are supposed to use the SLGS, I don't do that well with keeping up with it which is my fault. But I will be taking him down to 1.25 now
