Hi! I got the tag just now from your condo last night. Good job on bringing Maggie up into safe numbers! :)

When Rex would go low very early in the cycle, i.e. +2, I would go straight to HC and honey. Once I think he is safe, I feed one more time with LC before heading off to bed as he always, always went low at night.

From diagnosis to remission was 6 weeks and we were up to 3 units at one point. You can look at his spreadsheet.

It does seem you caught the diabetes very early.

Lovin' the lagoon...
I feed Maggie small meals every 3 hrs. or so because she seldom wants to eat more than a tablespoon at a time. I add warm water because she prefers "soup."

I am not sure about the reduction. Generally we don't like to take them so close together. However, with your food change to LC, I would be inclined to take the reduction.

I would put a ? on dose advice in your title to get some more advice.

+5.5 was 125.
Now I'm questioning if the +4.5 of 41 was correct. The only reason I tested on the half hour was because she was restless like last night. The prick for the +4.5 test only drew a small amount of blood, but the meter didn't give an error. I should have retested.
Considering this, would you recommend staying at .75 or reducing to .5 in the morning?

If you can monitor tomorrow, I would try 0.75 units again. It can take six cycles for the higher depot to disperse after a reduction, so you could still be seeing some action from the 1.25 unit dose.
