Hi everyone,
Happy Canada Day:)

I haven't been on in so long- but finally got around to updating Trouble's spreadsheet and thought I would post an update. Trouble is OTJ for his 3rd time.. I didn't post during the trial, as he just doesn't seem to hold his remissions- so thought we wouldn't jinx it with a party.. We really didn't even do a proper trial.. His numbers probably weren't low enough to call for it- but he was on such a small dose. He loves the low blues

So far so good- He hasn't had any insulin since May 20, and overall his numbers are great.. He seems to cycle through some higher numbers here and there... and then comes back down.. we do test extra at those times.. and aren't sure if that is just a pattern of his, or if something sets it off...

He's happy with the sunshine- and happy not to be getting the insulin.. We have been testing once a day min, but may start doing it every few days...

Chela is good- we need to get him in for another blood test for his CKD (early stages).. but he seems fine, happy and healthy.

I am great- so happy summer is here- I just returned from 10 days teaching a course in Michigan, and came back to some sunshine- after the rainy and cold spring, and freezing cold winter- it is very welcome! Getting to the river, ocean and quarry as much as I can!

I hope you are well! Think of you and your fur babies all the time- And always sending vines to those in need :)

I'm glad Trouble it doing so well. How exciting to see he's off the juice again. I'm glad Chela is doing well too.

Happy Canada Day!

Wonderful! I am so happy for you and Trouble! He has joined the 3 Times a Charm Club!! ;) Hope this is forever!

Glad he is loving the sunshine! And that Chel is good. What part of Michigan were you in?

Thanks Bobbie:) I hope this is forever too:) How is Bubba doing? I was in Ann Arbor for a week teaching a course and then visiting my family in the Detroit area for 4 days... It's always nice to go home.. but the weather was pretty cool and cloudy there (usually its hot and humid)... It was great to be there- but great to be home too!

Oh yes- and a funny story for every one! We held a meditation retreat at my house at the beginning of June, and one of the participants is clairovoyant and specifically works/talks to animals, lovely lady- and very clear... Well.. she kept saying that Trouble wanted to be called something else.. something more regal... as he believes he is the king (you should have seen him shmoozing up to everyone all weekend- Chela hid under the bed most of the time)...

and so after the workshop.. she told our mutual friend.. the he told her he wanted to be called.... Sir Henry....o_O

We have called him it a few times just to see.. but he doesn't come to it... Maybe he wants to be King Henry!!

So funny!

I had a feeling it was Ann Arbor! I love that town! My son was in grad school at University of Toledo but did NOT want to live in OH and wanted to live in Ann Arbor but, he split the difference and lived in Dundee, MI so he could get to campus and Ann Arbor quickly. Ann Arbor is so quaint. When he moved there he told me it was like Doylestown ( our county seat ) on crack! LOL

Love the story of Sir Henry! I like it and maybe he is just not responding because he is thinking "it's about time they address me properly" !

Bubba is good except today I saw him scratching a lot and got the flea comb out and got 11 fleas off of him! So I had to put Revolution on him ( hate it but can't chance an infestation and my dog Lucy is so allergic!) I have gone to testing weekly but it took me a few months to ease into it. Today is day 7 but giving it til tomorrow as it's storming here.

I am so glad to hear that Bubba is doing great- and still OTJ :) I bet he is so happy to have his outside life back:) even if it does mean fleas and revolution:) A small price to pay for him to roll in all that dirt.. We have been lucky, Trouble has only had fleas once and we started giving him these Nutritional Yeast and Garlic pills (they were for cats- so the garlic was changed in some way so that they could absorb it) and it seemed to take care of it, but it was late in the season and colder, and he only had a few..

Ann Arbor is lovely- its really gotten a lot bigger since when I grew up in the area.. But still has a small town feel- so much going on, very artsy, alternative, and open.. That is so cool that he chose to live in Dundee so that you could experience what he wanted to on his off time :)

And yes.. may Sir Henry AKA Trouble is just soaking in his rightful title.. It's so funny... I do call him it a few times a day... but .... Trouble fits best :) SO glad you are well! and hope you are having a wonderful summer :)

We are feeding a raw diet and that is supposed to deter parasites. Wonder if the 1 tbsp. of Young Again can make a difference?

I didn't realize you were from Ann Arbor!

I grew up about 40 minutes away so went there a lot as a teenager- more fun than the suburbs of Detroit:) My sister lived there for a few years too.. :) Moved up to BC, Canada in my early 20's. I go back every year to teach a course in June.. its always fun- and a good time to see family.

Hmmmm... not sure about the Young Again- but if Bubba loves that Young Again- what can ya do :) <3

My Theo passed in May - pancreatic cancer, very quick. :(

''Tis a lovely day though. A little rocky on the water first thing but looking forward to the fireworks tonight.

I am so so so so sorry to hear this Wendy. I know he is with Neko and loving you from the other side of the bridge. I can't even imagine how it feels and felt to have him go.. SO much love. Words cannot express the things my heart is feeling and wants to say.

And it is a beautiful day- The currents and waves were big here in the bay this morning too..

Enjoy the fireworks- and again so much LOVE to you!
