This guy has been officially OTJ for one year! Despite having some additional health issues come up these past few months, he is still holding a strong remission - BG has always usually read between 60-80 on a human meter, and he just tested at a cool 65 just to keep things routine and boring which I don't mind! Way to go Carter!!

So thankful for the FDMB and everyone here!

Carter just finished a month of antibiotics and he is going back for liver panel in 2 weeks to see if his liver values (ALT specifically) have gone down. Hopefully it was a just a bacterial infection and we can move onto the next step: i131 for his thyroid. Worst case scenario he will need a ultrasound guided biopsy for his liver before we can address his thyroid, but one day at a time!

I'd also love to do an allergy test for him but right now that's not super high on the priority list.

Hope everyone has a great weekend!

  • Wow, wonderful photo. He is very handsome.

OTJ for a year is fantastic. Did he have a party to celebrate?

Hi Erica, I hope that the various health issues will get settled soon. That's a wonderful pic of Carter. Is that how he travels in the car????

Hey! Yes, and sometimes he goes on walks with me to the store or to local pet boutique for his food. He wears a harness and it is attached to the inside so he can't jump out. He loves it!

Is he riding around in a backpack carrier? OMG that's sooooooooooo cute!

Happy Anniversary Carter. Being in remission looks great on you. Enjoy life at the Falls little buddy!
