Hello my new baby girl has acquired an odd issue not sure if is a major problem or not. When she wakes from naps and sleepy time she sneezes.. a lot and with a fair amount of intensity. There is no matter/ drainage from mouth. nose or eyes. She also has her 5 p's in place so I am not sure what to think, she has an appointment the 3rd for the last of her shots and well kitten check... Any ideas or thought are very much sought out in short please help!!!

My kittens were sneezing when I got them home. My vet said up to 80% are born with the herpes virus and as long as they are eating and acting fine it will stop eventually. Mine weren't eating enough and then one had a discharge from her eye so they likely had an upper respiratory infection and went on an antibiotic. The sneezing continued for months and has finally stopped. They were about 10-11 weeks when I got them and now 9 months. So if they act fine and are gaining weight don't worry. If other symptoms then you will need a round of antibiotics. Congrats.

If everything: eyes, nose, and mouth are clear it may be allergies. My boy does this sometimes when pollen counts are higher in Spring and Fall and windows are open. Feel bad for him but his sneezes are cute so I end up "giggle, are you ok?" :cat:

Yes.. I find myself snickering as well..., Yes she eats with gusto and is growing well, she is finally pushing the 16 oz mark. Her ears, legs and tail seem way to large for her at this point. She trips over her feet quite often too. I know she does not have FIV as she was tested for that before I got her and it was clean. How do I treat a kitten with allergies?? Treating mine is one thing but hers??? As for litter I dont use scented litter as it bothers my asthma the litter we use is scoop away mostly because it clumps so well and both Artemis and Loki liked it. As for Febreeze it makes me cough and gag so it is not used her

I used to use Scoop Away because it was cheap at Costco. I've changed to Dr. Elsey's scent free Ultra as Costco only has the scented and the balks were sticking to the bottom of the box same thing is happening with the new stuff but at least it's scent free. Must be my kittens. They dig so much!

lol I switched to Scoop Away too! I've only used Benadryl for my boy but he is not a kitten. Could you call a Vet and ask what you could do?

Sounds adorable!
I will be doing that when I take her in for her well kitten check, right now she is giving her aunty Artemis a fit all ways wanting to play and run around.

Oh trust me it is not just your kittens.. Khaleesi digs to china every time she is in the box.. sometimes she does the trip twice.
