Last night big boys glucose was 84 before onsulin.I took your advice and skipped it.This morning he is 384 about 2 hours after insulin. Is this normal?

Yes, this can happen. Two things can be at play: 1. he had no insulin last night and 2. he can be having an overreaction to the low numbers yesterday that we call "bouncing". It's a protective response to lower than usual BG, too low a BG or too fast a drop. The body compensates by mobilizing stores of glucose and dumping it into the bloodstream. The bouncing can persist for up to 3 days. Testing regularly is the only way to know what's happening.
