Hello, I've been away from the site for a few weeks. I have EZ the 12 yo diabetic cat whom I am fostering for a rescue group in MN. She was on insulin briefly (mid January to first part of march). Her blood sugars went green and she has been off insulin since mid march. I transitioned her from proplan DM to Friskies liver/chicken pate. She has continued with stable blood sugars for the past month.
I noticed this am she has a front k9 tooth wher the gum is red and slightly swollen. She did have a dental and several teeth pulled when she came into the rescue last November.
I am getting her into the vet tomorrow but wonder about any thoughts that I should be thinking about or should bring up to the vet. It has been 5 months since she had lab work done so I thought we I would ask for that and check her kidney function. Is there any antibiotic issues (if that's what she needs) or with anesthesia and the tooth having to be pulled, etc
Thank you for any words of wisdom
