+10 and it's still going down... gave 2 Merrick Backcountry treats (salmon, whitefish, dried peas, dried potatoes) and I'm hoping that will slow him down... next check at +11.

Inquiring minds want to know, did you shoot that 66? :D Love those nadirs at preshot.

How is your dad doing?:bighug:

He was discharged today :)

My ex-wife who recently moved into the same apartment complex came by and tested Chino's blood sugar, drew up the dose, and got to see what happens when the bowl that goes down first isn't Chino's (he jumps for it anyway, then snorts when it's pulled away). I was going to walk her through the injection but as I was showing the techniques I use to minimize fur shots, she asked me to demonstrate, so I gave this one. She'll give tomorrow night's injection so I can spend more time with my dad's family that came down from NJ.

I fed 7% tonight, hoping that will give him at least a small spike, in case there's still some action. Is it safe to wait until +2 for the next check?

Is this your lowest ever preshot? The typical recommendation is to get a +1 when you do that. Chino was coming down all day, though flat at the end, so might be action tonight. If you get a +1 and he's still flat, I'd up his carbs a bit.

It's great the ex can help out with shots.

Vines for a speedy recovery for your dad. He'll get better faster at home.

I lost track of time until right before the +2. BG 45, asymptomatic. Gave 3 tsp gravy from HC 20%, will retest in 30 minutes and reduce to 12 units tomorrow.

PMPS = 66 (3rd meal LC 7%)
[12.5 units Lantus]
+2 = 45 (3 tsp HC gravy 20%)
+2.5 = 52 (2 tsp same + 2 dry treats)
+3 = 62 (same as above)

That 99 looks like the start of a bounce. Next check at +7 or +8. If he's over 300 tomorrow morning, I might shoot 12.5 units one more time before reducing.
