 amps (yay)
If you shot 171, it's that number that needs to go into the amps box.
How long did you stall for? (was it 20min?)

Good Job shooting.

The PS number may have been a dropping number or indeed flat (looking at last nights cycle being mostly in yellow). With that +1 I think you may have an active cycle this morning.
Good job giving the snack at +1 it can often help with the drop.

Please get a +2, you may need to monitor the early part of this cycle closely.

Thanks! Yep alarm is already set for +2. At which time I will most likely give him another small fork size bite. I also changed the PS number to 171. I stalled for about 20-25 min.

His onset is typically at+3. Gonna be a busy day.

If he gets in to the safe green - would this earn him a reduction at PMPS? If so, would it be by .5 for him considering the high-ish dose?

So that would mean that 171 was influenced aa wee bit by the food, but that's OK, he was OK to shoot at the previous number.

Usually when we stall we stall and don't give food, just so we get a clearer picture of what's going on.

Good Plan.

That depends, on TR a drop below 50 would earn him a reduction, so if he surfs above 50 you would hold the dose, if he drops below 50, you would take him down, and in the same way as you have now come up in 0.5 u steps, you would go down by 0.5u, less than that you would be skinnying the dose and it's not recomended to do that at this stage, it's a technique used when kitty is getting well regulated and we are trying to fine tune the dose.

Re: the stall. I realized I should have withheld food while he was busily eating his breakfast and I was waking up with coffee in hand. Ugh.

LOL, still flat, good lad.
He doesn't seem to be on a rush to jump into the lagoon, but he's enjoying some time poolside.

(You know what'll happen now I've said that:rolleyes:)
Lol. While he's had some bounces along the way - they have been 1) somewhat predictable 2) fairly short lived.

Between +5 and +7 is when he's had some good sized drops. Gonna give him a rest until 10:30 which will be +5...

It's so foreign these blue numbers. Felt good about shooting this morning and mentally preparing myself for shooting green. Lol

sounds like a plan.
It's cycle 5 on this dose, so you are beginning to see what this dose is doing for him. If he were to stay relatively flat this cycle, I'd be wondering if he was going to give you an interesting evening.
BTW with him seeing blue, you'd want to be holding on to this dose for a minimum of 8 cycles.

From the TR Sticky.

INCREASING THE DOSE:
  • Hold the dose for 3 - 5 days (6 - 10 consecutive cycles) if nadirs are less than 200 before increasing the dose by 0.25 unit.
    • if your cat is new to numbers under 200, it is recommended to hold the dose for at least 8-10 cycles before increasing.
    • when your cat starts to see nadirs under 100, hold the dose for at least 10 cycles before increasing.
  • After 3 days (6 consecutive cycles)... if nadirs are greater than 200, but less than 300 increase the dose by 0.25 unit.
  • After 3 days (6 consecutive cycles)... if nadirs are greater than 300 increase the dose by 0.5 unit.

Grateful to hold this dose.

I too am curious as to what tonight's PS brings :nailbiting:- so far so flat... +5.25 at 158.

Jimmy had a pretty good day. 276 @ PMPS. He was hesitant about the PMPS test...but finally gave in to the power of the lightly boiled chicken. Won't test him until PM +2. See what the night may bring.

PM +6 he's coming down already 286. Let's see what he has in store for us tomorrow - hopefully another long blue stretch! Holding dose for sure! Thanks. And thank you Gill and George for your encouragement throughout the day!
