Hi, I've been quite ill with a stomach virus on top of a possible stomach ulcer so I haven't posted on here in a while. I haven't tested Millie much aside from her pre-shot tests. This evening we saw a BG of 160, which we haven't seen in a while. She tends to go high and to bounce, so it's nice to see this. We panicked for a moment thinking, oh no, she's really low. It's so good to have a place to check her numbers and see how she is doing. A big thank you to the FDMB folks even though I'm not on much and don't take full advantage of it.....it's still appreciated. I am going to try and test her before bed (+3 is at midnight) and tomorrow. I'm sure she'll start bouncing but who knows, maybe not.

Hi there Sylvia! Since Millie threw you a lower number than you are used to seeing, it would be wise to get a +1 and +2. If the +2 is the same as the preshot or lower, then it could indicate an active cycle and some more testing to keep her safe would be prudent.

I will do the +1 & +2. My meds knock me out & it's difficult to wake up at 2 or 3 AM (+5 & +6). Should I feed a bit higher carb food to make sure she's OK during the night?
 
I will test Millie and if I have to, I'll set my clock. I'm going to wait for the +2 before I decide whether to leave HC food out. Millie tends to bounce whenever she goes low so I don't want to leave HC food if not necessary.

Before I got a chance my husband gave her HC food so her +2 was 312.
