Hi everyone,

It 's very difficult to fix the dose for him because <1.5 seems lower but 1.5 or 1.5 fat seems too high.
Yesterday he dropped at 63 after 2 hours. I gave him a little amount of honey but at 4 he dropped at 43. Being very tired I forgot the HC food on the table and probably all night he ate a large amount of HC that's why he bounced at 548.
I would like to get some advise on the dose because I am very confused.
Thank you for any advice and I apologize if I do not answer tonight, if I fall asleep.:)

Good job catching that naughty boy at a 42!:D:eek: I would shoot 1.25 at the next shot. I see you shot the old dose two times after he earned the reduction. It's best just to shoot it one time when shooting through the bounce. Even though the higher dose helps the bounce, it also keeps that depot going and Tilica has showed you that 1.5 is too much insulin.

Hi Wendy, I shot the olddose because in the past the dose of 1.25 was too low. But I was wrong yesterday because I shot too much even if the trend of BG was deacreasing, at +10 it was 380 he was still bouncing but at PMPS the BG was 296. Other times it worked , he didn't drop so much.

Hi Andreea,
I know you are very tired now..but that 100 points drop at +2 from pre shot of 383 this PM cycle is your warning that the cycle might be active.. can you test again?

A cat's insulin needs can change over time. Just because 1.25 wasn't enough before doesn't mean it's not a good dose now. Neko's "good" dose varied from 8.75 units to 0.25 units. Just follow what the numbers tell you to do.
