Yes.... he definitely needs to be back on insulin. He didn't do the complete nose dive thing this weekend, so maybe I'll be able to up his insulin to the .01 (I think that's what you call it) and get his numbers down even more. I just hate that dose because I always feel like you just can't get it perfect.

I'm off to Phoenix. Chase may have to miss evening insulin. I'll try to get back on time. Will have to see how it goes.

His numbers are high, given that he's on insulin again. I will probably have to amp it up. Have a great Sunday, everyone.

PS: I just did his +3. Talk about going S L O W. Yes, the higher dose tomorrow evening when I can watch him.

He may well need a little more juice.
But you might want to see what the next couple of cycles brings as he settles into the dose.
As @Marje and Gracie said, when they come back from the falls it pays to be a little more aggressive, so maybe it would be OK to take him up sooner rather than later, I'd be interested to see what she thinks.

Safe Journey to Phoenix.

I'm late heading out so I got one more test. And it's..... 72. Down half from 30 minutes ago. I made sure he has plenty of food out, along with timed feedings. He is kind of acting like he doesn't feel good. Now I'm worried... about that 72. Normally a great number, but why the nose dive, now??? Think I'll wait another 15 minutes and test again... just to be sure it's not dropping, still.

Hey Sandi, looks like Chase is back to his old diving thing. If you haven't all ready left and see this, maybe a tsp of MC along with his LC that you left in the auto timer. And maybe he'll bounce back up to blues like he did yesterday.

I think he had a little bounce this morning from getting used to being back down in green. Or.....it’s also likely he went lower last night. He was 116 and dropping at +3 with a lot of cycle still left.

For right now, I’d hold the dose six cycles as long as he still has green nadirs most cycles.

One other thing you should know when cats return from the Falls. Their patterns might be totally different. He may or may not be a diver. He may or may not bounce. You will have to figure it out as you go to see if he’s the same or the short time off insulin and now back on results in a change to how he reacts to it.

Have a safe trip.

I'm so out of the loop on knowing what I'm looking it. Thank you, everyone, for your insight. I'm going to hold his dose, for now. He didn't hav any insulin this evening because I got home from Phoenix too late, but I've tested him 3 times since getting home. All in the 90s with no shot. Tomorrow is another day. :)

Hi Sandi, refresh my memory, did Chase see the vet yet? Wondering what knocked him out of remission?

Glad his PMBG was a good number and hopefully he will stay in greens all night.
