I have been moving up my cat's insulin shot time by one hour each day over the past 4 days because I have to start leaving the house earlier for work. I gave it at 9am (around 10pm last night). She ate some Soulistic canned food at the same time. Before the shot she could walk and jump no problem. My relion meter and the vet's said high. I've brought her home (30 minutes ago) and the ability to stand or walk is barely there she'd clearly like to drink some water tries but just is flopped down in in front of her water bowl. The vet went to lunch but she said my cat is just feeling bad due to high blood sugar and told me to wait it out and retest her tonight and adjust the insulin to 2 units if testing indicates. Any ideas?

Yes, a good question that Red and Rover asked about ketones. Please call them and ask and post with that information please.

Getting another test to see what it reads is a good idea.

I'd also want to know if your vet checked for ketones, with a history of DKA it worries me that this might be recurring.
If she's been in relatively high numbers it seems odd that she should take such a quick downturn just because of high BG, I would think that something else is going on.
How's she doing? any improvement since your post.
