So on to Day 8.
He must be feeling better. He is loosing tolerance for me messing with him. He is not as chill for his ear pokes. However, he does sit and not struggle and scratch if I hold him and give him pets. No lingering in my lap after anymore though.

He isn't eating as much. The Sheba package says he should have 9 portion packs a day. That is a lot. The vet doesn't want him to gain weight and I think he may have but our scale isn't so very very accurate.

Fergus has a vet appointment on Monday. He will get a repeat Urinalysis and Urine Culture, along with blood work to check his blood sugar. they will get the urine with a needle through his abdomen. I hate that but it is the only sterile way ;-(

Any advice hat should I ask for test wise?

Happy Day 8!

I hope the vetty visit goes well on Monday. You may want to put vetty? in your subject line.

Happy Day 8! More than 1/2 way there. :D

Funny, after Bubba wasn't getting insulin anymore and only tested 2 X day, he too started getting very intolerant of me poking him. Right now I am at about one test a week and this morning he actually said "owwww" before I even poked him

I would have the vet check his teeth really really well and if he needs a cleaning, do it soon as inflammation and /or a tooth ache can knock them out of remission. ( Just ask Bubba)

I laughed out loud about the "owww" because I can picture that perfectly! Rex is already starting to not be as tolerant. I tell him, "Oh no, you aren't telling me what I can or cannot do!"

Congratulations on the OTJ trial! :cat:

Lol "oww" silly cats. Glad they feel well enough to be big drama queens.

I will do on the teeth. I haven't seen the vet since the second antibiotic was given. She has no clue Ferg is not getting juiced. Still afraid to jinx it. I will take my log and we will chat. I can't wait to see his "vet blood glucose."

Next up is a referral to have his PI sorted out. I am hoping it is a quick fix. I am prepared for higher BS after. I just hope he can get a bit better again.

Thanks for the support!
