Jones has been having some great numbers lately. Which is great and surprising as he has had really bad diarrhea. My niece gave him milk over the weekend. Not sure how much he got before I stopped her. Monday he went like 12 times, missed the LB and it was gooey. Not puddles but close. So back on the metronidazole he went for the next 7 days and then we will try to stop it again. We have had two poops in the last 24 - both gooey but at least it is less. He is still eating ok.

I know he has dropped below 90 but I am thinking I need to hold this dose. Or should I lose another drop?

I think you've been able to monitor enough to hold the dose if you want to. If you catch nadir's in the low 50's depending on your monitoring schedule then I might lose that drop. It's really up to you. Hope his poop improves soon.

Even though your following the SLGS protocol, you do seem to be testing enough that holding drops less than 90 would be safe. It would depart from the protocol but I think your just as safe holding until drops of 50 occur if your testing with the frequency the TR guidelines require. If I were you I think I would hold for a lower amount, maybe even go halfway between 90 and 50. such as 70 for awhile.
