? UPDATE: Curve finished - Not making progress on Griff's diabetes

It has been a long time since I have posted. I have been diligently testing and dosing. I just upped Griff's dose to 2.25 last night. He is off of kibble....well, unless he sneaks some from the dogs which I have been a lot more careful with that. I have gotten better at testing. He still isn't getting any better. I am down to about 1/4 bottle of insulin, so will need to go to vet soon to refill. I am wondering if he needs to change to a different insulin.

Anyhoo, getting very frustrated with not seeing any results.

I think you just haven't gotten up to his good dose range yet. Any tests you can get near the middle of a cycle would provide valuable information. Right now you have no idea how low he's going and that info is needed to evaluate a dose.

You really won't know how effective a dose is untIL you have mid cycle numbers. Are you home any days that you could do a curve?

True the numbers are high but it is trending down with a steep curve. Keep getting readings. And give lots of loving!

Don't get discouraged . I'm suspecting this is a bounce cycle but it's still good data that might help us figure out his nadir (lowest BG)
