Could he be trapped inside a neighbour's garage?
Excellent question. At the shelter, we would suggest that you ask your neighbours to check their garages or gardening sheds for a stowaway cat. Neko once went into the neighbours basement through their cat door - and got trapped inside. Probably visiting her cat buddies and their cat food. We got a call the next morning from the neighbours saying they found one extra cat that morning.

Putting out a litter box or favourite bed that smells like home can help.

Sending lots of vines for Boomer to come home ASAP!:bighug::bighug:

We put his litter box outside a while ago. Dish of food just inside the back (screen) door. Most houses on this street do not have garages. He's so timid and afraid of people I would be very surprised if he would go into a building.
The last times he has escaped he has come home very late...well after dark. It's getting dark here now.
We're 45 minutes past his PMPS and he hasn't eaten for almost 10 hours.

Hang in there, Judy ...with all the momma bean prayers and energy going out for your boy it's just a matter of time !!! Hey Boomer, get your hiney home NOW !!!!! Much love going out to you !!!

Oh, Judy you must be worried sick. Does he go out at all? On a leash? For walks? Or strictly indoor?
Strictly indoor since he adopted us. He was outside for about 6 months before that, we think. He has escaped before and he comes home very late at night. It's dark here now but some neighbours are setting off fireworks so that's not going to help.

Walk around the neighborhood calling his name again. I've done the "crazy cat lady walk" many a time-- they don't always show up immediately, but it can give them that little extra shot of courage when they hear your voice.

Come home, Boomer. :(
It's dark out now and he's black. :(

My mom and I have prayed twice for Boomer just did another one you might need to tie a string on the door so if he does come inside you can pull the string and get the door shut.

positive story....
leave food outside near the door he went out..... he will remember when he's not panicking and running.

this happened to my fil , the cat was gone for a week...... but apparently he would come back when all was quiet....
and he found his food ( litter box is even a better idea)
he WILL come home when it's calm.....

you could always lay by the door .... I'd even leave it propped open myself...

Come home Boomer......

Come on Boomer !!! You must be starving by now and poor Allen is still shut in the basement!!!!! Praying for his adventures to be over , Judy !!!!

So he escaped around AM+4, hasn't eaten (as far as I know) for 15 hours. He had some fancy feast then walked away so I tested him and he's 106. It's almost 3:00 am here so I'm leaving him 3 kinds of food (including the people food tuna that I used to get him in the door) and going to bed. Thank you everyone for your light, vines, prayers, suggestions, thoughts!

Thank you Universe for answering so many prayers yesterday!

Judy , I can feel the relief and hope you got some sleep.

Boomer, I bet you'll sleep all day after being in high alert in the wild.

Omg thank goodness! I kept waking up hoping he found his way home! I think that's my biggest fear that one of mine might try to get out. Aurora not so much but Mulan is more curious and wouldn't have a chance come dark, we have a ton of coyotes in about area. So relieved Boomer is home safe.

What a relief!!!!! I was worried before I came here to L-Land that I might read that he's still missing. I mentioned the garage thing because that happened to one of my sister's cats a long time ago.

We just got home from our weekend at camp and I saw this! Wow, so glad that Boomer is home safe and sound. Boomer, you are quite the boy, scaring your beans like that.

I hope today was calmer, Judy!
