Happy Friday everyone,

after some chilly days and rains - rains are always welcome here - we have beautiful sunny day. As advised I am keeping 0.75U dose in hopes it works well again even after partial fur shot and undue fattening I committed yesterday.

Going to shop for new patience pants later on.

The 41 reading half an hour after LC meal shouldn’t have happened: ironically I was distracted by researching online about honey. I pulled out two jars of honey I had in the cupboard and my eye caught “True source certified” on one side of the jar and ink stamp on other that listed as the place of source 5 countries spread across 3 continents (?!). I didn’t know the meaning of True Source Cert stamp so I was reading and missed the typical window seat to refrigerator walking Ducia does when lowering…

I was noticing lately that more and more experienced members here are using honey instead of gravy for steering the numbers up. I agree – honey does sound as more natural product to use than whatever it is in that blessed FF gravy I ‘ve being using… Anyway, I didn’t get time to read fully on the honey but at a glimpse - what I bought as honey might very well be not honey at all. But again I need more time to read and probably post honey question in OT or Main Health. I admit to buy the cheapest honey ever – DH goes thru jar in a week… I was hesitant to employ MY honey and used the FF again.

My real question for here though is about dosage. Should I take the reduction and have no doubts on my consciousness that it is for the benefit of my girl? The SS is up to moment. Please share your thoughts.

I understand technically it was earned but doesn't her SS says Ducia doesn't hold reduction too good? I honestly cannot be objective here...
The doubts I have after reducing and going nowhere burn me alive..

Well, a fat 0.50 units actually crossed my mind before I posted. The last time you tried that, you only held it for 3 cycles. I don't know if it's time to try the microdosing, but maybe with Ducia, it is.

I would take the reduction also and I like the fat .50.

As far as honey goes, yes, lots of kitties have GI issues with the gluten that is in the gravy in FF and other gravy wet foods. Honey is a better choice than Karo syrup as karo is corn based and I do not think it is good for animals ( or humans for that matter)

Any honey, even the low quality?

You would remember, I think, that during the Hypo I used honey - the life was saved but I used so much of it, tons, I am afraid that she might have developed something like allergy to it, or a resistance at best, and I fear to use to find out...

It is silly and doesn't make sense as any other irrational fears don't, but are there known instances of adverse reaction to honey in cats and if so, does it have to do anything with the level of quality of honey?

I really don't know the answer to that question. Maybe some other will weigh in. I only know of aversions to foods when the cat is sick and is fed a certain food.

I looked at your notes on the SS. You are very meticulous - wow! I agree on the honey. If Rex went low, HC alone wasn't enough. I always had to add honey. I felt more comfortable using honey not Karo.

Count me as another vote for the reduction. Try the fat .5, and Ducia will let you know if she wants a bigger reduction.
