Hello everyone,

It is possible that Ducia had fur shot this AM - I am sure I didn't shoot thru but her fur was wet and the insulin smell was strong afterwards so.. the cycle will tell.

I had the same experience a while ago - when the insulin sort of oozed back.:( The site of injection was different so no underneath scaring to blame it on.

I fattened the dose a little for the PM cycle - just to compensate for the AM loss. The depot acts touchy sometimes - better stay in good terms with it.:)

ETA: the +3.5 is 154 1 h after 2 tsp 4% Friskie Pate - Wow! - I should have fed her reg 0% instead.:banghead:

I think I've heard folks say that the effects of a furshot sometimes don't show up until the following cycle (due to the depot)-- that may be what you are seeing here. Nothing to do but soldier on! She'll get back on track pretty quickly-- she's doing so well lately!

Where did it came from?

Well, it might be the effect I mentioned above-- the fur shot is only seen now in the evening because in the morning you had the depot to carry you through, but now that depot has been depleted. Or, maybe there's a simpler explanation... could it have been a bad strip? Did you re-test?

I would stick with consistent dosing. Only increase if you are planning an increase anyway. But with the 60's on this dose, I would stick with it. Side note, sometimes kitties respond strongly on the cycle after a fur shot, which is yet another reason for not increasing unless an increase was needed anyway.

When you do a furshot or partial furshot, pull out the patience pants and just wait.
