Hello,
I bought a Wavesense Presto because the test strips are very reasonably priced and the glucometer is supposed to be very accurate according to what I read online. The tests I made with the control solution on Saturday when I got it and this evening do give quite accurate results between multiple tests.
I don't feel like the results with Mr. Big Eyes are accurate, though. Twice already I doubted results and retested immediately. Results were: first time 218, 2nd 251; and first time 364, 2nd 310. I thought the 2nd results were consistent with trends, so I recorded those on the spreadsheet. I'm not really trusting either test I did today
but didn't repeat them.
I just watched a video online from Wavesense saying people should wipe off the first drop of blood and squeeze to get more. I'm sure my cat is not going to go along with that. I think on the two tests I repeated he wiggled on the first test, so maybe I was at the wrong angle. Is that possible? It didn't seem today like that happened, though.
Is anyone using the glucometer who might have any tips for me? Or more experienced testers who might have any tips.
Thanks!
