No SEB this morning. Gave over the weekend and am suspicious that it may have prevented the BG to go lower. I won't go as far as saying it raised it but all blues this weekend - hmmm. (Just an observation). I can't remember when I gave it - I am pretty sure I gave it Friday PM, I think Saturday PM and Sunday PM.

Going to get the Natural Moves opened and put into a container tonight and try it this week.

Oh, and Gizmo does NOT like the Weruva Truluxe Steak Frites. I hadn't given it since the last "appy" episode (about 2-3 weeks) and so I mixed it up yesterday. Nope, does not like it. I threw the batch and mixed up another using the Fowl Ball. Of course, it is the most expensive food I have purchased for him. I put the balance of the case (about 1/2) up stairs with the other food to take to my vets (they donate to a shelter).

It is finding patterns that is the hardest!

Hope everyone has a good Monday.

It will be interesting to see if you get lower numbers without the SEB. Sorry Gizmo didn't like the Weruva. Why do they always like the most expensive stuff? I hope Gizmo heads back to green for you soon.

Good morn Lizzie. I didn't know SEB can raise BG#s. I recently tried the Truluxe Steak Frites too, surprised the carb% is low after seeing there is corn & potato in it. Good luck with the NM, I have to sprinkle only a little tiny bit or Bronx won't go near any food it is mixed in.

Did Bronx like it? Gizmo will eventually eat it but will only pick at it. I just don't have the time to mess with it and with his other issues don't want to hinder his eating. I suspect the pumpkin? Easier to just give him something I know he likes.

Back to the Fowl Ball/Wellness Core mixture and he doesn't seem to mind getting it day in/day out so just not going to worry about it. Sometimes I alternate the Instinct Grain Free (replaces the Wellness), but it is higher in phos so it is just as a special treat or the appy is off. I haven't tried any of the new foods yet.

Bronx ate it at first but he eats everything that is freshly opened, the can opening sound is all he needs to think he will love it. I mixed it with other stuff to finish off the can. I bought the Truluxe variety pack and he does like them, but one is high in carbs so we will save that for an emergency.

Love that idea - Jones comes running if he hears the can opener and the "pop" of a fresh can.
It used to be a kitchen time for Gizmo - his digestive enzymes needed to absorb for 15-20 min so we would set the timer and when it "beeped" it was time for him to eat. That was pre-FD and now I mix up batches by cycle so it is the autofeeder turning that triggers him - especially when his appy is good.

If no green tonight - increase? If yes how much? Since I am using calipers I can do 1/8U measurement.

@Bronx's dad

Paul, here is the autofeeder with the ramekins.

My personal preference is to wait 6 cycles from green before increasing. Gizmo has bobbled around in the past so sometimes a little patience pays off. I'd also stick to the .25 increases and decreases for now. If you increase and he earns a reduction again on .75u either hold the dose for 1 or 2 additional drops or try the reducie again. It's common for them to possibly fail a reduction and then stick it the next time. Just my 2 cents.

0.75U scares me not being able to monitor (work). He has dropped into the 30's and 40's on that dose on two separate times
I understand. You can try the micro dosing, there's nothing wrong with that. Hopefully Gizmo will just decide to show some pretty greens again soon and you won't have to worry about it. Sometimes I even wait 8 cycles after the green...
