Mostly yellows and one pink yesterday. I expected it after I had to stall his AM shot and then decrease him on the PM one.

I also expected a yellow this morning, but this cat is full of surprises.

Nice Start for Rudy, good to see him getting back to business.

Some cats do just take a skip in their stride.

Looks like the amps was dropping. So if you weren't already thinking about it, I would recommend getting a +1, so you can steer should you need to.

Hopefully Rudy is going to have a nice cycle.

That's a large drop and early in the cycle, I would add a drop of karo/honey to the HC.

Gave him another blob of HC with a bit pancake syrup. Whitefish, cheese and syrup. Sounds disgusting, but he's eating it. Retest in 10.

Please retest that number - that doesn't fit 'normally' with the AMPS number. NOT saying it's wrong, just saying retest to validate. Sometimes strips give a wonky reading.

I did 2 tests when the 40 popped. He's at 44 now. Fed HC with syrup both readings. Retest in a few.

Deep breathe. It can take 20-30 minutes for the carbs to go from the plate to the meter. Testing every 15 isn't going to tell you much.

i would test again in 30, just to make sure he's up or stable. A tsp or two of his regular LC could help him surf.

I did give a spoon of LC right after I posted the 72 reading. Will retest after 30.

(Meanwhile - the dog is all upset because this is delaying his walk. Too bad, Jack.)

AMPS 140, +2 40, +2.25 44, +2.5 72, +3 97, +3.5 125, +5.5 116, +9 161, +11 179

PM dose reduced by .25 to 4.5 since he fell below 90 again today. Second decrease in two days. Let's see how he does.
