Hi everyone!

Noah continues to do very WELL. No visiting the sharks and making things a lot less stressful for his mommy. All green for the past month (he did probably see some BLUE numbers (food spikes), but let's keep it to all GREEN because it looks so much better). :D

I've given up on trying to find his nadir recently. It keeps changing and I have a FLAT GREEN CAT. Not that I'm complaining.
;)

His +9 snack seems to help get his numbers down for PMPS on most days. I was wondering... is that the pancreas working or just a little late insulin action? Would anyone recommend trying to move snack time around?

Again I would like to thank the members of this board. FD is so difficult and I'm so thankful I could get advice here.

Sending hugs and patience pants to everyone who needs them :bighug:

I would like to know this too. Gizmo is hit or miss on his +8.5 snack (whether he eats it or not) so it is hard for me to recognize if him eating it makes a difference on his PS#'s.

With #'s like you are getting and holding the reduction, I wouldn't change a thing!:D

When are you feeding? Do you use an autofeeder?
^I see it on your SS.

Noah is a little pig. He eats all of his food right away. Unless it's wet food. HE JUST WON'T EAT WET FOOD. I'm lucky and can work from home 4 days per week so I'm able to give him most of his meals without the automatic feeder. I do put the food in the feeder for the +9 evening snack (at 2 am) and when I need to be out of the house. But I try to avoid the feeder as much as possible. I have to give the freeze-dried without water when it's in the feeder because it would be cold and yucky by the time the feeder would turn.

Is that Gizmo on your profile picture @LizzieInTexas ? He looks so comfy and adorable!!!

Noah is looking great! :D His pancreas is probably sputtering a bit. We don't usually suggest giving a +8-+9 snack until they get into much smaller doses, but hey, it seems to be working for Noah.

Gizmo is the same way. I use the autofeeder all the time, whether I am home or not. I like the fact that it removes me (human) as a factor. To be honest his eating has improved greatly. He knows when it is going to turn and will start sitting in front of it waiting starting about 15 min before.

I posted this short video before, but this was when he was getting use to it. He was in the living room when it turned.

Awww the video is so adorable. I love how he waits and start running when he hears the feeder. Noah sleeps in the room next to the feeder every night. He joins me in bed after his 2 am snack. I also leave a couple of pieces of freeze dried chicken for when the feeder turns to remove the food at 3 am (well I should say when it turns because it is ALWAYS empty by 3) because I felt bad. He was just running over to the feeder to see if he had food

I wish I could just feed between shot time and +6, but Noah goes crazy looking for food and it was stressing him out. Higher BGs when he did not have +9 snacks. I'm just lucky that it seems to work for him. Hopefully I'm not jinxing myself by saying it.

:D

I do the same thing. The last turn has 3 FD kibbles in it because I felt bad having it turn with nothing in it. Haha. These cats have us very well trained
