Furball was happy & purry this morning. I took Furball to the vet today because her BG started creeping up. The vet said her teeth show some inflammation. I made an appointment to have her teeth cleaned next Friday. The vet ran bloodwork and took a urine sample. Everything except for her BG looks good. Her BG was 323 last weekend when I tested and 292 Wednesday. The vet tested with an Alpha Track and got a 389. Last month when her numbers started going up, I thought my test strips had gone bad. I bought new test strips and got a lower number. But then the following week, it was up again, so I made the vet appointment. I'm hoping the teeth cleaning will get her back on track. I ordered PetAlive Pancreas Booster and GlucoEnsure that @Bobbie And Bubba recommended. I'm hoping this helps keep her off insulin. She's been off insulin for a year and a half and I'm really hoping she won't need to go back on insulin.

I so hope that the dental will be all she needs.:bighug: Are you going to start insulin or wait until after the dental?
 
Carla, I hope that it is Furball's teeth that are the guilty party and that she will be back to her normal good numbers after the dental. Sending lots of vines for next Friday. Since all her test results are good except for bg, a bad tooth may be the culprit.

Fingers crossed that the dental will take care of it and that she doesn't need to go back on Insulin! Very curious to see what the PetAlive Pancreas Booster and GlucoEnsure will do. I have been on the fence about ordering those as well... but I guess I better wait until I find out if my summer class made it and if I will have an income this summer.
 
Dang it. Sure hope the teeth are to blame. When is the cleaning scheduled? Glad all other tests were good.

Sure wish you were closer. I gave 5 brand new cartridge. I would give ya one. :bighug:
 
Fingers and paws crossed that it's the teeth making Furball's bg go up and all will return to "normal" after her dental!:bighug:Prayers that she won't need insulin again!:cat:
 
Thanks everyone. Furball is feeling good and doesn't act like anything bothers her. I've noticed she is drinking more water though.
 
Oh, I had no idea Furball's numbers were creeping up. Good to hear all the other test results were good though!
Hoping the dental gets rid of that inflammation and gets her BG back down. :bighug::bighug::bighug:
 
Hi Carla! Fingers crossed that Furball doesn't need the juice again, hopefully she'll be back to normal numbers after her teeth are nice and clean. Fingers crossed for you both.

It is doing better. The vet was impressed with how much better it looks. The homeopathic treatments are helping. She still has a little pus coming out of that spot. Thanks for asking.

Glad to hear. Must feel more comfortable for Furball and a relief for you that vet thinks ear is looking pretty darned good. when's Furball having dental?
