It would be amazing if I could get some people to look at Angels spreadsheet and give me some advice.
- I've been dosing her based on her PS #'s and the more I study her SS it seems so inconsistent and such drastic changes from day to day.. so is this really helping her?
- Should we try a set dose for a week and see if that works at all? Like this morning I dosed her a little higher than I thought I should with her just being above 200 because I knew BF would be monitoring and my dose proved to not be enough. Sometimes it is though so what is the trick and how do I figure this out lol.
- In my opinion her day time numbers are pretty darn good. It's her PS that are wacky. So the insulin IS working just not working long enough.
- It troubles me to think about changing insulins because besides the fact that she does have diabetes you would never be able to tell she has diabetes lol. She has had ZERO complications from this insulin. Her appetite is great, her bathroom stuff is great, all negative ketone tests, she is playful, loving and so happy. Right before she was diagnosed she spent a lot of time under the bed by herself. She NEVER does that anymore. She lays on her back sprawled in the middle of the floor sunning her belly all day.
So my point is that I'm hesitant about switching.
- Any advice on possibly dosing her 3 times a day instead of 2? I know this would be so much more work but if it COULD work and get her regulated it would be so worth it. I could possibly take 2-3 days off work to be able to be home 24/7 if we do decide to give this a try to closely monitor her.
- Based on her SS and date of being diagnosed how much longer should we wait before we decide to either switch insulins or dose 3 times a day?
Thanks so much in advance!
