She's vomited 5x today. I shouldn't have given her the insulin, but she ate well and although she vomited a few times earlier, I wasn't thinking. After eating and injecting she vomited, ate again and vomited again. With her BG going down, how do I keep it from going too low if I can't keep food down.

132 isn't that low, but that's only +3 and with no food on board, I don't know what to do.

Is it projectile vomiting?
I don't think so. And I will give her just the gravy if need be. Maybe that will stay down better? At +5 she was up to 171. I know those numbers aren't low. It's the vomiting with numbers going down that is worrying me. Thank you so much for your input. P.S. It looks like you're in Maryland. I'm okay so I don't want you to have to stay up for me. It's late back there. Thank you.:bighug:

Glennie, have you discussed Callie's vomiting with your vet? For a cat that doesn't have a known disease or condition, vomiting that much is concerning. It could be something as simple as a bad batch of food or a food allergy, but it could also be something more, and if she isn't getting the nutrition she needs, she is at risk for fatty liver disease (hepatic lipidosis), which is very serious. She also could become dehydrated.

Tricia, thanks for your concern. Yep, I'm calling the vet this morning. I would have sooner, but the vomiting was random. She vomited more yesterday, and then last night after she ate, and I shot (of course), it got much worse. Finally about 1am she kept some food down, or so I think because I can't find any vomit. Then she slept by me. Anyway I'm calling as soon as they open. Thanks again!

Good luck! Keep us posted.
Will do. Thanks so much.

Sorry about two threads. I wonder if I should go ahead and shoot this am. BG 424 so she's
bouncing. She ate well, and hasn't vomited yet, but this is what happened last night--after I shot she kept vomiting.
