+2.5 was just 210. I'll be up for another 20 minutes. Does anyone suggest I test at maybe +5/6? Thanks in advance!

Well, I set an alarm and had someone call me to wake up. Barely remember answering my phone! So that didn't work last night  Anywho, 334 AMPS, gave 1.4u because I haven't given that am dose in a few days. Really not sure what else to do, so I'll see what I get later.

Pretty much came back to where he was at PMPS, wondering if you could measure a 1.3U :bookworm:
Haha 1.3 would end up being either 1.2 or 1.4. I'm thinking he may need to go up to 1.6 this weekend and see where he goes. I really have no clue though!

Oh yeah, you did have some nice numbers on the 1.6, including PS. I think his PS numbers right now are a little trampoline influenced

Also for @Kris & Teasel

Side note: he's being very rambunctious right now... Meowing while staring at me, purposely knocking stuff over...like he's hungry. He did get treats for the +3 test though. Not out of the ordinary by any means but felt like I should mention it o_O

Maury was doing a little of that after dinner and shot lol. I followed him around as he meowed and paw'd at things randomly then we settled :p

No blood AMPS either. Both ears are pretty bruised though so after a few pokes I felt awful and am hoping they get some relief today. Dosed 1.2 based off of everything lately. ::Sigh::

250 PMPS. Pretty darn happy with that! Now the question is, do I stick with 1.2 or do I go a little strong with 1.4? I'm thinking 1.4 but for some reason I'm feeling a little frisky. Thoughts?

I think that should be fine :). Yes serious intentions. I'm terrible about waking up to a mid sleep cycle alarm, well alarms in general lol. Once I'm asleep. I'm ASLEEP :D
I'm good when I know I HAVE to test him. But the other night when there wasn't a huge need, nothing could wake me! I'll give 1 tsp and wake up for +6. Thank you Yong!

Gave 1.4 u with a 279 AMPS. Actually a bit surprised it went that high, but he did have 5 more hours after the green. Think I'm definitely going to try 1.6 this weekend for the am, maybe 1.4 for pm.

Any chance you can get mid-cycles on Saturday and Sunday? You got green last night on the later side of the nadir, (it may have been even a bit lower at +5). My thinking is that f your nadir is in healthy numbers, you don't really want to raise the dose. You might hold the dose and give it some time to bring the pre-shots back down. However, you don't have recent data on 1.4 during the day to see if it's also working during the AM cycle -- so if you can get a mid-cycle on 1.4 on Saturday, then you would still be able to try 1.6 on Sunday if the AM 1.4 mid-cycle is too high.

Now that I've said all that, I'm second guessing it. You did have much nicer pre-shots around 1.6....so maybe you should just raise it. My concern is just that 1.6 was putting him on the edge of going low, and since you can't monitor during the day, that seems risky.

I figured if I do the 1.6 on the weekend, I am able to test. I know, it's all over the place! I know I'm probably being a bit dumb and stubborn trying to get the blues back for pre-shots, but I'd love to see them again. Either way, I have no idea what's happening with the doses so I may as well play around a bit while I'm home  I also love how you explain things and then give the opposite side to your previous thoughts!

I think the "play around" idea is part of why my first thinking is to hold the dose. His dose keeps bumping around between 1, 1.2, and 1.4. There isn't any period where he's had a consistent dose for more than 2-3 cycles in a row, and at a low dose like this, 0.2 is a significant difference. Insulin effects more in the body than just BG, so changing it around might be causing some havoc for him. Some cats can be on a sliding scale and be fine, for other cats it causes bouncing -- which may be what we're seeing.

But I also hate seeing him in yellows and pinks when a couple of weeks ago, he was giving you blues.

In just about every area of life, I can see/argue multiple sides -- that's why it never hurts my feelings if someone disagrees with me! :)

Haha my other thought is that he's bouncing as well and the reason doses kept changing was the inconsistent #'s. Ugh, maybe regardless of #'s I should just stay with 1.4 am, 1.2 pm and see how it works. It's just hard for me to see higher #'s and not give more/ see lower #'s and not give less. Errrr :arghh:

Wait...why 1.2 for PM? I would say 1.4 for both doses....but maybe I'm missing something?

And as for shooting more/less...if you look at my spreadsheet, you'll see that I'm a bit of a hypocrite. I give in to adjusting doses too. The thing is, I've started realizing lately that I almost always regret the adjustment, and Sam seems to make better progress when I hold it steady for him, until he gives me a number that is low enough to force me to adjust (hitting my 'no shot' number, or hitting 50 at nadir)
