yesterday:
First time, I gave Neko a reduction for the ride home. She held the reduction and had another one shortly after. ECID. Most kitties take a least a couple of weeks, some take a few months. Depends where in the life cycle the tumor cells are when the radiation is done. The SRT just neuters the cells so they can't reproduce.

Dr Lewis said it can take 4-6 months to see results. He said the new machine is a Trilogy.

He's looking great and hope he's feeling good too.

Seems he is feeling better, eating good which was not the norm when his BG #s came down. Maybe he is finally getting used to lower #s. But I really am stressed about leaving him in the hospital for 5 days next week, they will not take care of him like I do. Just hope he sleeps thru the week from all the anesthesia.

We will all be thinking of you next week. I will be out of town, but will try to peak in. Make sure you take lots of Bronx's regular food for them to feed and a used t-shirt or towel or pillow case that smells like you that they can leave in his kennel.

Neko took a while to get used to lower numbers, but I was so happy when she switched Low blues for low pimpnks as her happy zone.

I used a freshly washed towel that I used once to dry my hair with after a shower. I took a fresh one in every other day or so.

I hope you will be able to visit Bronx. :bighug:

I'm nauseous for you. Will keep you both in my thoughts and prayers.
This reflects my feeling also. Please post updates when you can. We are all cheering from the sidelines here.

That's the worst part, I will be in Georgia next week for work and will just be home to drop him off on Monday and pick him up on Friday. If I was home, I would bring him back and forth every day since the place is only an hour away. But I really have nobody to give him his insulin if I am not home for a week so that is why I did schedule the SRT during a week I was gone. My friend can do it once in a while but she has a full-time job as a nurse and asking her to do it twice a day is too much. My 81 yr old dad lives downstairs from me in an apartment in my 2-family house, but I tried to show him how to do everything and it was a disaster. He couldn't even draw insulin into the syringe from the pen w/o issues. He did shoot Bronx once with me watching but was so nervous and Bronx sensed that and also got very nervous. I will have to have him try again one day since I will be traveling a few times this summer, but hoping Bronx will be getting better by that time.
