What a beautiful story, beautiful Iris and Tullah. I just have to say that it must be only pedigree Maine Coons love water (thinking of @Doodles & Karen and how he loved his water) but, Bubba hates baths! Once I tried to bath him and he started screaming and jumped out of the water with such force that me and my bathroom looked like a tsunami had hit when the procedure was all done. Yes, I got him bathed after him jumping in and out of the tub at least 6 times. I was exhausted , wet and cold. :rolleyes:

Thx for sharing that sweet story. I would like to look for the book .

Gizmo loved water as a kitten. He actually climbed in the shower with me a couple of times.

When I was younger and had a roommate, we had two dogs and four cats between us. All got bathed and dipped once a month. If you start them young they will tolerate it fine. With the cats they tolerated it better with barely warm (room temp) water so they were last after the dogs.

Gizmo is looking great! Yes, on of Doodles nick names was "water boy". He played with water everyday. I was not able to bath him but the groomers always told me he loved walking and splashing in their tubs. MC are known for liking water. Cute story Lizzie

He's hitting 50/60 on this dose just a few days ago and you don't know on the other days. His higher blues at night could be mini bounces. I'd see what he does and what others think. If it were me I'd leave it alone for now.

NICE numbers Gizmo! I agree with Karen, I'd leave it alone too.

KT, our first diabetic, absolutely LOVED water and baths....Dakota tolerates them but I'd not even try it with Snowshoe or Bebo. Snow would claw me to pieces, Bebo would SCREAM and scream THEN shred me. :) He's a Maine Coon mix too but he had a hard life before arriving at 'Squeaky's Furever Home'. He freaks out at wierd things and doesn't freak out at things I'd expect.

HUGS!

I agree with Karen and Lyresa that this dose is looking good right now. Here's a pair of patience pants for you to wear . :p

PMPS 161

History:
AMPS=141, +2=116, +4=96, +6=117, +8=121, +10=164, +11=207(?)

Not sure about that +11 - hubby took it cause I was busy. Just doesn't look right between the +10 and the PMPS numbers.

Does it matter which lancet you buy for the lancet devise? I know gauge makes a difference but the size/length of the plastic - are they the same? I use a Freestyle devise that I love because it has a clear tip so you can see where you are pricking. I want to get 30 gauge lancets but can't find 30 gauge Freestyle that are not $$ compared to others.

I don't know, I use the relion lancet devise and I take the cap off because I couldn't see were I was aiming. I use the Relion thin lancets. I don't know how they compare with your system.

Most take universal size lancets. There are some that take special shaped ones or the drums but most use the same. If the device is new, it may fit tightly but as they're used, they load and unload easier. I wear out lancet pens often and no way could I freehand but that's MY mental block left from being a major needlephobic when KT decided he wanted to learn the sugar dance. :)
