Yeah, definitely ask the vet about the meds. I didn't reply yesterday because I didn't have any knowledge to add, but if I had to bet, I'd bet that that is a non-diabetic-safe ingredient. Maybe even enough to have been affecting Sprocket's numbers-- if so, it'd be great to fix that!

Hope you guys have a good day today!

Vet that made mistake called back. Roadrunner is making another cyproheptadine with sugar free liver flavor and overnighting it to me. I think vet is paying as she admitted it was their mistake.

So he will have it by tomorrow night for dosing.

He is good now. Napping and had some food.

My mother-in-law's cat loves the plastic to chew on as well. It's like an oral fixation for some cats, the noise and crispiness of the texture. Maybe freeze some food and leave out overnight if he's getting hungry.

Well he chews on it. I hope he is not ingesting any of it.
I have been feeding him every 3-4 hours. I have been getting up to feed or test n feed during the night currently.

I got 2 autofeeders yesterday so when I don't need to test at night i can use the autofeeder so i can sleep.

He took his liquid meds well tonight.
276 at pmps. 200s most of day!!
Poop is formed yet smelly still.
Insulin oozed out a few drops right before my eyes. Odd!!
Hope its a quiet night cause I am exhausted.

No. I think we got it all in but I looked at spot and I saw a few tiny droplets come out of his pors. Very odd.
We shaved him as to not miss.
Someone else said they had same issue with their cat. Vet said its possible too.
I was told to pinch opening while pulling needle out but I think we would probably pinch ourselves.
Or hold needle in there for some seconds before pulling out

He is doing good right now. Not eating as much food as in letting food sit there without devouring it. I am told that is good but will take some getting used to.

Ketone negative.
He is sleeping well. Watching out windows.
Now to get used to being in good numbers.
That is unknown territory.

I had something similar with Jack one time, except it shot back out at me when I pulled the needle out, a nice small stream. I'm guessing I had too much angle and injected more into the skin layer then subQ, since there was no place for it to go, it decided to come back out.

A little confused on that.
Is there a visual aid that shows how the skin is for that area?
