Looks like this may be a good dose for now. Even though I call it a skinny .5u it is exactly in between .25u and .5u using the calipers. I guess I could call it .375u but I don't see anyone else getting so precise on their SSs.
I think that using the calipers has made a huge difference in consistent dosing. It's at least one thing that I feel I can control in this crazy FD dance!!!
Those lines are so inconsistent, at Uncle's current dose I could accidentally be giving him twice as much, half as much and everywhere in between if I used the lines on the needles.

I am glad the calipers are working for you. :bighug: When Neko was on smaller doses, I was amazed how bad the line placement was on the BD's. Bonus for me and DH (or if you have a petsitter), then you have consistent dosing between two people.

Uncle is looking pretty good at this dose. :D

Thanks Wendy. I was gong to bump him up to .5 a couple of days ago, but then he had that beautiful string of greens. If he climbs back up into all blues I'll go ahead an increase.
 
Hi Carla, I know. It was all very awkward at first but now it's a very comfortable process and I think that it's quicker now to draw up the dose because I'm not hemming and hawing so much about whether the dose is good.
I'LL NEVER GO BACK!

Completely agree. Especially when severely sleep deprived. I keep a post-it with the dosage Gizmo is on (1.0U) and the equivalent of the caliper measurement on it taped to the window sill where I prepare his food and ready his shot. There is never a question if hubby has to fill in.

Hey, who cares??....As long as "something" has finally gotten his attention!!

China's first two dentals were duds (I mean she had bad teeth that needed cleaning and quite a few extractions) but it didn't seem to change her numbers ....other than going up for awhile.....then dental #3 was last Feb-March and soon after, she started coming down the dose ladder as well as showing off her surfing skills

Yo Uncle!! Glad you could comes to da volleyball tournament!! Dat jumping and divin' in da sand sure takes a lot out of a kitty!! ...but it's so much funz!
