I took Riley to the vet when I came home and checked his sugar was around 500 he has been in remission for some time now. He does have kidney failure and has had radiation therapy on his thyroid. The vet has me giving him 3 milliliters 2 times a day and I'm trying to remember exactly how it got him in remission to begin with. Of course through soft food. He's been getting into dog bowl latley
I need to start filling out a spreadsheet but his numbers seem to be consistently High but for some reason in the mornings after a 12-hour cycle they're the lowest at 315. I hesitated on giving him the three milliliters today but I went ahead and did it because I can monitor him at home.
He has not seemed to be dropping too low at all actually the numbers go up higher than that during the mid cycle but then they are at the lowest point at 7 a.m. pre shot.?
We started him out one and a half MLS and his sugar stayed at a steady 400 so she went up to 3 ml's and it's got a little better but not much. The vet says that she wants to wait before we raise it anymore I'm just concerned he's getting too much but if his numbers are not dropping too low then I guess he's not?
