We finally have AC - it started cooling about 10p last night. If I survive today I have the rest of the week off! Fingers crossed.

Gizmo ate a couple of bites of the PS food. He will go back and eat in a bit.

The few times I've given Pepcid, I put it in a pill pocket. The very first time I tried without a pill pocket and my cat started foaming at the mouth. It must taste awful.

Same thing happened to me with Gizmo. He was throwing up foam, meatloafing and not eating - it was the start of a pancreatitis attack (I think his 2nd one) and I just shoved it in his mouth and drizzled a bit of water with a dropper in there - looking back it is funny, but it wasn't at the time. He looked like he had a Santa beard with all the foam.

I haven't given it again (I think it was Zantac). I am not sure if it tastes bad of if it the way it is suppose to work in the stomach. I have Zantac and I just ordered Pepcid and a pill cutter. I ordered a bag of pill pockets from Chewy on the last order - so I have those.

Pepcid you give 1/4 tab every other day
Zantac you give 1/8 tab 2x/day

I am not sure if I can cut the Zantac in 1/8ths but it might be easier to get 1/8th tab over on Gizmo in a pill pocket - but I will just wait and see.

Worth a try again I think. It may be why he eats a couple of bites and then goes back and finishes it in about 30 min - IDK.
Sure would make it easier if they could talk to us! :cat:
 
Hey Lizzie, sorry Gizmo is not feeling tip top. I don't have any experience with Zantac only Pepcid. I was told I could do the Pepcid (famotidine ) 1/2 of a 10 mg tab twice a day for 10 days.

History:
AMPS=148, +2=92, +3.5=71, +11=87

I am off for 5 whole days! YAY! We had a major power outage at work around 1:30p - we had a line of T-storms move in and I guess that was what caused it - IMO we have had much worse and not had issues. Anyway, they released us because Centerpoint had said it wouldn't be restored for hours.

Since it was raining and storming the contractors couldn't work either so we had a nice couple of really quiet hours. Gizmo and I laid on the couch and had a love fest and then I got his food ready and he ate it all in one sitting! Great afternoon!

To top it off - GREAT NUMBERS!
