AMPS 348. After last night not sure what I should do. Someone said I automatically reduce from 4 to 3.75 because she went hypo. But I'm inclined to go even lower. If no one responds in the next 45 minutes I have to leave for work so will shoot 3U.

If they told you to decrease, I would. You hold the needle, so you have to do what you feel is safe. Better for her to be high than low. You did a great job ladt night!! Good momma bean

Last night I held it together so well but this morning I feel so emotional. I feel like I'm failing her.

No no you are not failing her, you saved her. If you had done nothing. Don't beat yourself up. This FD dance is hard and confusing and a learning experience. You did great by posting and staying up with her and taking peeps advise. When you know better you do better right? You did great, and I am sure you are spent after the roller coaster ride. You said it she's fine and acting normal. :)

She may be a little insulin sensitive after yesterday. You guys did so so awesome last night. Good thing you have access to coffee at work

You aren't failing her, Cherish. Look at what you did for her last night. This is a tough thing to cope with especially early on when you're still learning and don't have all the battle scars from getting through tense situations. You earned one last night though. Those battle scars will toughen you up and help you to know what to do when she throws you a curve ball. :):bighug:

You are definitely not failing Angel! You are doing a great job! There's no choreography for this sugar dance, you learn as you go, and just when you think you've got it all down, the steps get changed; we've all been there at some point. You're a great kitty mom. You kept her safe last night during a tough situation.

The 0.25 reduction was my bad; I had a brain fart and momentarily forgot you were using Vetsulin rather than Lantus. With Vetsulin, as Kris says, you would adjust your dosage to an amount you feel is safe based on her past reactions and test numbers. She will probably be okay with the 3.5, just have your bf keep an eye on her and test her a couple of times - some kitties can be a little more sensitive to insulin after a hypo. I would definitely leave some food out for her. You may need to reduce farther tonight; if you have questions post for dosage help.

Keep up the good work, Cherish! :bighug::bighug::bighug:
