Is it normal for a kitty to stay pretty consistent without much dropping of numbers?

I worry my Lantus is not working.

Can someone please help me before I totally lose my mind. Is it normal for a kitty to stay pretty consistent without much dropping of numbers as Molly tends to do?

I worry my Lantus is not working.
These flat numbers can happen. Lantus works best if the same dose is given AM and PM and held at least three days if you're following the TR protocol or up to a week if your following the SLGS protocol. I see that you've dosed differently AM and PM recently and also changed dose after less than three days. Have you read on the Lantus forum about the two protocols, TR (tight Regulation) and SLGS (Start Low Go Slow)? Which of these are you following?

I think your dose is too low... why did you lower so much? You were getting better results with 1-1.5 you went from 1.5 to 1 to .5.... why? your doses are all over the place

Thanks Kris I was working with the vet and she said she wasn't sure if it was caused by bouncing or maybe her pancreas started to kick in. She said she would contact a Endocrinologist if need be when I do a curve. I was just wondering if the flat numbers are normal but you're right I did read the post on Lantus Depot and it all made sense.

Thanks for the very warm welcome Janet

this isn't the welcome forum, you were asking a question and I responded. you asked why you aren't seeing the numbers drop... So I told you I think it's because your dose is too low at 0.5 and 0.75. I was just asking why you decided lower the dose. Did your vet advise it? Clearly you aren't interested in hearing from me, so take care and best wishes.
